Gleason Hard Gear Power Skiving on the 300PS Fine Finishing of Internal Gears
Hard Gear Power Skiving can be witnessed for the first time ever at the AMB show in Stuttgart. The machines of the Gleason PS series offer tailored solutions for the efficient production of internal gears. The extraordinarily stiffness of these machines, modular workholding and well-designed tools meet the high requirements of the process. Additionally, the Gleason Power Skiving Simulation Software depicts the cutting cycle for every cut and ensures that cycle times are minimized and tool life is maximized.
500CB Cutter Build Inspection Machine Automatic, Accurate and Repeatable Builds of Bevel Gear Cutter Heads
Another premiere is the 500CB which is shown for the first time outside the Gleason premises. The 500CB delivers a more accurate build, including truing and inspection of all types of stick-blade bevel gear cutters – completely automatic. Blade positioning is executed via an automated closed loop for accurate and repeatable builds including the controlled tightening of the blade clamp screws, consistently applying the correct torque. With the 500CB, even unexperienced operators are able to build a cutter head with consistent quality and repeatability like an experienced professional.
100HiC – The New Shaft Master Combined Hobbing and Chamfering Deburring of Gears
The brand-new 100HiC features the next development step of the successful P90 Horizontal Hobbing Machine with an integrated, NC-controlled chamfering and deburring station. The strength of this machine lies in its ability to cut geared shafts employing the one or two-pass cutting method for burr-free flanks in subsequent hard finishing processes like honing or grinding. The 100HiC exploits the benefits of latest cutting tools like Gleason high-speed and carbide hobs as well as rotary chamfering tools. The 100HiC is equipped with the next generation Gleason Operating software for easy and efficient operation which can be tried out at the show.
Gleason Automation Systems with Modular, Integrated Solutions
Gleason Automation Systems specializes in the design and manufacture of factory automation systems serving a variety of customers in the automotive and other industries. Gleason will present the modularity of its automation systems with the compact DS1200 automation unit. The DS1200 is a fast and reliable alternative to expensive, operator-dependent conveyor automation. The compact system, which is compatible with most machine tools, uses robotic technology for loading and unloading. Its secondary operations capability allows the DS1200 to function as a versatile work cell while eliminating operator machine tending.
Tool and Servicing Solutions
Gleason will present its complete gear manufacturing tool program including modern tool servicing concepts with integrated connectivity. At the Gleason booth, Gear Manufacturer will find latest tool materials, advanced carbides as well as innovative wear coatings. Gleason tool solutions will be presented live in action, for gear hobbing, chamfering/deburring as well as for hard finishing of internal gears. For bevel gears Gleason will show new cutter head systems for fast and easy assembly and inspection, and excellent cutting results. Gleason will also present its latest line of hard finishing tools including dressing tools for grinding and honing applications.
Advanced Workholding Solutions
At AMB, Gleason will demonstrate its line of hydraulic workholding solutions. Holding force, accuracy and contamination-free designs are well suited for dry gear processing applications as well. The new Gleason Stir-Able Modular Workholding designs allow off-spindle assembly and truing, reducing changeover time as well as the amount of total run-out in the fixture.
Quik-Flex® Plus, Gleason’s next generation of modular, quick-change workholding systems requires a single tool, less time and minimal operator experience.
