At JIMTOF 2018, from November 01 to 06 in Tokyo, Japan, Gleason will demonstrate smart innovations in advanced gear manufacturing at Booth E-6007 in East Hall 6, covering a wide array of processes for the complete production and inspection of all types of bevel and cylindrical gears. Highlights include: Phoenix® 280G Bevel Gear Grinding Machine, providing high productivity and high precision in a combined solution, the 500CB Cutter Head Build Machine providing a highly automated solution which will extend tool life and increase end-part quality , the next generation of the 150SPH Spheric® Honing Machine for high precision hard finishing of cylindrical gears, and the revolutionary 300GMSL® Multi-Sensor Metrology Platform incorporating laser scanning, opening new possibilities for the development and analysis of gear designs. These new developments are accompanied by the latest flexible workholding solutions and cutting tool technologies, like the new bevel gear cutting system Pentac® Mono and new dressing tools for grinding and honing applications. There will also be live demonstrations of the open software architecture of the new GEMS® Gear Engineering and Production System that seamlessly integrates with the latest version of KISSsoft® Gear and Transmission Design Software. Gleason’s vision and current solutions for the factory of the future will be on display throughout all exhibits including tool-to-machine communication, Gleason Fingerprint for predictive maintenance and the introduction of augmented reality into maintenance and service.
