Modular Workholding Systems
Gleason‘s modular workholding system is based on standardized components to combine high precision with maximum flexibility. Available for internal, external, and between-center clamping, with or without quick change interface.
ID Clamping
The modular workholding program for internal diameter clamping is available for diameters 20 to 120 mm. Individual modular components are selected according to specific requirements, potentially interfering contours and manufacturing process.
Quick-Change ID Clamping
ID clamping systems are also available in Quik-Flex® Plus quick-change execution, which offers the additional benefit of being able to changeover workholding very quickly while maintaining highest accuracy levels.
OD Clamping
For shafts, expansion chucks are available in seven modular sizes from diameter 3 to 120 mm with axial pull-down effect. Expansion chucks are supported by common changeover devices. Additionally, different axial workpiece stops are available.
Clamping Between Centers
For applications, which cannot be clamped inside the bore (ID) or on the outside diameter (OD), parts can be clamped between centers. Precision centers are available up to diameter 180 mm in the standard modular program. Other sizes on request.
