KISSsoft System Module is the powerful tool to model and analyze entire transmissions. The objective of this training is to explain all system calculations related to dynamics. The modal analysis of a gearbox will be performed. With the characteristic frequencies analysis, all possible excitation frequencies will be calculated. Using the forced response calculation, a response analysis of the gearbox to given gear mesh and shaft excitations will be performed. This will result in the output of dynamic bearing forces and moments.

The training is meant for design engineers, KISSsoft and KISSsys® users who would like to analyze and calculate gearboxes using a system tool.

After the introduction to the dynamics calculations, the implementation in the software is shown using simple examples. Modal analysis is used to calculate the eigenfrequencies in the system. The calculation of characteristic frequencies is used to determine the frequencies of gears, bearings and shafts, as well as other sources. The calculation of forced vibrations by excitation of tooth engagement forces, unbalance masses of the shafts and torque ripple is analyzed for the system. The most important output results are the dynamic engagement forces for gears and bearings in the time and frequency domain.

 

Notebook

You will need a notebook to actively participate in the training course. For this training, we strongly recommend using 2 screens to use the software.
